A good condition truncheon, truncheon / tipstaff which measures 20 inches in length.

Dates from the period of King George III, who was King / Monarch from 1760 until 1820, meaning that it could be as old as 265 years. In great condition considering its age!!!

Top section shows the cypher GIIIR for Goerge the Third and below that on the shaft a faded, painted number 59. Possibly used by a Parish Constable of the time.
