Disgrifiadau
A rare tipstaff constructed of brass and a wood handle. It still retains its original red coloured material set within the crown.
A tipstaff is a staff with a metal tip, and carried as a 'sign of office' and indicating that the bearer was acting with lawful authority.
The handle is possibly made from walnut, and is between 11 and 12 inches in length. This example most likely originates from the late 18th / early 19th century (reign of King George III).
