A photograph taken around about 1905, of Superintendent Gill. He was then part of the Merthyr Tydfil Division of the Glamorgan Constabulary. When Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Police was created in 1908, Supt. Gill remained with the Glamorgan force, despite having the opportunity like many others in the Division, to transfer into the newly formed Merthyr Police.
