Hidden away on a narrow lane north of Brechfa, and no longer in operation, Felin Marlais was powered by the Marlais brook. But the brook ran deep enough in places to serve another purpose in the 1800s: a place for baptisms by immersion for converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
