The 'Aberystwyth Official Guide and Souvenir' published by the Aberystwyth Corporation in 1924 lists the National Liberal Club in Market Square amongst the clubs. It was built on the site of the Butchers Arms in 1901 as a club and warehouse. It was later used as auction rooms. The building has now been converted into flats.
