Ysgol y Gerlan opened in 1871 and served the community of Gerlan, Dyffryn Ogwen until December 1976, when it was closed down. With many thanks to the Llais Ogwan Committee for permitting us to use their cover story from January 1977 and Mrs ME Williams' detailed history of the school.
