Disgrifiadau
This Laura Ashley Bridal Gown was bought by Ann Evans the founder of the Heritage Hub 4 Mid Wales as the signature exhibit for the HH4MW 'For the Love of Laura Ashley' exhibition at Machynlleth Museum of Modern Art exhibition from the 24th June until the 6th September 2023.
This Bridal Gown for produced in the Bridal Studio of Laura Ashley Machynlleth factory which was the only Laura Ashley factory that produced bridal wear for the company.
This Bridal Gown was named Annabella and was featured in Laura Ashley 1994 Bridal Catalogue and retailed at £550. Ann Evans was looking for garments that were made in the Welsh factories of Laura Ashley specifically 'For the Love of Laura Ashley' exhibition in the Market Town of Machynlleth. This was realised when a picture of this Bridal Gown popped up on Facebook with the name of one of the six seamstresses involved in making this Annabella Bridal Gown. So Ann called the Oxfam Witney Oxon shop first this the next morning and purchased this over the phone.
The name of one of the seamstresses that made this dress was Sharon Holt and her signature appears on the Laura Ashley tag.
On the 8th July 'Being inspired by Laura Ashley' event Ann and Sharon will meet one another with this Annabella Bridal Gown.
