Gelligaer Historical Society

Gelligaer Historical Society was formed in 1961 by keen local historians who had recently researched and published The Gelligaer Story, the history of a large upland parish in northeast Glamorgan.
Over the decades, the Society has continued to research local history and heritage, publishing results in its journal Gelligaer and in its newsletter Gelligaer Times.

Its programme comprises monthly talks (September to June)
