Discovery Student Volunteering Swansea
Discovery is a registered charity led by students of Swansea University, dedicated to improving the lives of people throughout Swansea.
For over 60 years, we have proudly served our community, engaging hundreds of dedicated volunteers in delivering more than 30 transformative projects across the city.
Our journey started in 1966, when a group of Swansea University students wanted to give back to their community. They banded together and formed the original Swansea Volunteering Services, an organisation created to make a difference in the local community.
The charity was renamed to Swansea Student Community Action in the late 1980s before becoming Discovery Student Volunteering Swansea in 2003.
