Friends of Aberffrwd Cemetery

We are a local group, established to campaign for a positive future for a much beloved and historically important cemetery at Mountain Ash. Our ultimate aim is to reverse twenty years or more of neglect and vandalism, and to reopen the cemetery to all. Some of the notable graves at Aberffrwd include; Henry Austin Bruce (Home Secretary 1868-1873) and his family plot. The theater director Philip Burton and adoptive father of Richard Burton, John Nixon and many more.
