The Raven Inn Garnant Contributed by Gareth Morgan (August 2011)
In the late 1930s the licensees of the Raven Inn, Garnant were Henry and Elizabeth Beanland. Henry was Elizabeth's second husband, the first was Thomas Evans the son of Evan and Rachel Evans Elizabeth and Thomas Evans were Gareth Morgan's great grandparents. The Raven is said to be over 200 years old, there is an extensive history on the Cwmamman History site In the doorway is Henry Beanland, the 2 ladies are his step grand daughter Gwennie (she is now 91 in 2011) and a May Evans.
