Llythyr oddi wrth Hannah Edwards, Gelliwernen, at William Chambers [30? Awst 1843] [tudalen 1 o 1]

Disgrifiadau

Anfonwyd y llythyr hwn gan Hannah Edwards, merch John Edwards, Gelliwernen, at William Chambers, 30? Awst 1843. Mae John Edwards yn ofni y bydd dilynwyr Rebecca yn ymosod ar ffermdy Gelliwernen, Llan-non. Roedd John Edwards yn asiant i Rees Goring Thomas, a oedd yn gyfrifol am gasglu'r degwm yn y plwyf. Roedd Beca eisoes wedi ymosod ar Gelliwernen yn ystod y nos ar 22 Awst 1843.

Adysgrif:

'Sir, Gellyglyd is situated near New Lodge on the Swansea Road between Cross Hands and Pontardulais. I have no further information to give excepting that they are certain of being at the places I mentioned tonight by all that we have heard and I hope and trust that you will catch them.
Yours respectfully,
H. R. Edwards
Gellywernen, Wednesday Eveng.
P. S. Every movement had better be kept quiet as there are people in every corner.'
