Disgrifiadau
Although there is no scientific difference between butterflies and moths, butterflies have slender clubbed antennae whilst the antennae of moths are much more variable. Many moths are large and brightly coloured and fly by day. It is the larval stage that does most of the feeding whilst the adult's mouthparts are in the form of a long slender tube called a proboscis that they use for sucking up nectar and other fluids. Many of the smaller adult moths have no mouthparts at all and do not feed.
