As part of the Heritage Lottery funding that we received under the heading Barry: A New Community we agreed to create an exhibition that could help people understand more about the creation of Barry Town. Fromn 77 residents pre-Barry Docks to 38,000 in less than 20 years. That exhibition is in 5 parts, this is the second part and is free for anyone to use who wishes to share and to develop knowledge and understanding of Barry. This mainly consits of an excellent series about the entrepeneurs and families that helped shape the economy and landscape of Barry, series created by Laurie Owen. The story about Billie Baker was creaed by his graddaughter Sue Bowyer.
