Canonised in 1320, St Thomas was a medieval bishop of Hereford. During the Reformation his relics were hidden but remained a focus for devotion for more than 100 years. In 1664 the relics were dispersed and one bone (the right tibia) was sent to the Jesuit Mission in Holywell.
