The drawing combines a general plan of the Holland's level with vignettes of the buildings, tramways and inclines, many of which Falcon has illustrated in greater detail elsewhere. On the left are three miniature plans showing the extent of the slate mill and tipping at different dates in the quarry's development. Although the preliminary records were made in 1968, the finished drawing was completed in 2002.
