The drawing is typical of several panoramas in which the artist expresses his concern to show Blaenau Ffestiniog in harmony with the landscape. This view from the south towards the head of the Vale of Ffestiniog emphasises the ring of mountains and the dark tips of slate waste that surround and dominate the town, which has been Falcon's home since 1968. His mill home is above the terraced houses on the right of the drawing, to the left of the waterfall.
