The Murell Family settled in Barry at the time of the creation of the Docks and the building of the Town. The father was a partner in a significant shipping concern building a house overlooking Romilly Park and the Channel. The son was given medals and awards for (while commanding the SS Missouri) rescuing a sinking ship and over 300 souls. This is their story and the story of St Osoph house.
