Brenhines y Carnifal yn cwrdd a'r Brenin Sior VI

Disgrifiadau

Rachel Johnson (née Jones) born July 1920 worked at teh Mond Nickel Works in Clydach during World War 2. In 1944 the Royal Family, King George VI, Queen Elizabeth and the two princesses, visited the factory in 1944. Rachel was watching from a platform when 'some of the boys' pushed her off and she fell, standing, in front of the king. The king talked to Rachel, he was 'a lovely speaking man'. He said I was very brave. A photograph was taken which was sent to her later by the works manager with a memo.
