The first building you come across after leaving the station and heading into town is the former Police Station and Magistrates Court. Local Magisterial and County Court meetings were held here. The building was undergoing major restoration at the time of my exploration to this end of town. Despite being covered in scaffolding, you can still see the roundel above the entrance with the coat of arms and the wording 'Police Court Montgomeryshire'.
