This leaflet advertised a Wales Congress in support of the mining communities - a Solidarity Rally. The photograph of a mining community with the pithead in the foreground and a chapel on the right shows how even the physical landscape the miners lived in was dominated by the pit. The 8 rallies being held over a two-three week period listed on the back covered all of Wales. The speakers included religious people, unionists, members of political parties, academics and teachers, women's groups and included people from outside of Wales.
