This is a statement from Ann Clwyd, the Welsh Euro MP, announcing the setting up of a European think-tank to protect the EEC's minority languages, including Welsh. A defence fund of £56,000 has been set aside. The think-tank has all party support and the money is to be used to support projects in the various countries.
