Letter from Edward Thomas to the poet Gordon Bottomley. No address, [Jun 1913]. Archival ref: 424/1/1/1/10/183
Mid June 1913
Sunday

My dear Gordon,

I am sorry. Yesterday I started on a long bicycle
ride to a friend but gave it up exhausted & dispirited
a third of the way & sent those telegrams to you among
other things. It was the beginning of a period when
I can't make up my mind to be away from home
although for many reasons it is then the worst place to
me. However I need not explain this but only tell you
I am very sorry to have involved you as well as others in
what should concern only myself. I will try to come in
July instead. When I heard that you would like [illegible] I will send it with Aglevaine & Solyette
No hurry & if I don't hear before I will
bring them down with me. - My telegram at any
rate arrived before my letter I hope.
Yours & Emily's abjectly
E T
