10am. Wednesday.
I had an interesting day yesterday which I spent - up till 4.30 - with Haynes. Then I went out & paid my book bill, among other things & later on met Davies. But somehow I am rather too excited to be able to talk, whether on paper or not. My only reason for writing is just to let you know I live & to ask you how you are enduring your loneliness. Perhaps at the end of the week I shall be able to write more freely.
This morning I had a friendly

letter from Morgan. He comes up on Friday and hopes to spend Sunday out of doors with me. He is living at Swansea with a friend of the Deacon. Among other incidents he has been offered the candidature of a Constituency, but of course can't accept until he takes his degree.

I have scarcely any news yet for Father & Mother. Things are quiet here & I have only spoken to the Bursar, among the Dons. There are to be over 30 freshmen this term.
