Clwb Criced B.A.C 1958 , B.A.C.also known as the the B.O.C are initialisms of The British American Optical Company.which was located at Llangadog, Kidwelly, known locally as "The Optical", the Optical Factory emerged from post–Second World War efforts to revive economically depressed “special areas.” Built by the British American Optical Company on former farmland known as Greenfields, construction began in 1946. By 1950 the factory was producing its first lenses and had trained nearly 400 local workers, becoming a major source of skilled employment in the area. Despite its early success and long local significance, the factory’s operations declined, and it ultimately closed in 1990 under United Kingdom Optical Ltd.
