Comma, Polygonia c-album butterfly
Disgrifiadau
The Comma butterfly is quite common in England and Wales and can be seen on the leaves of the nettle plant from April to August. It is called Comma because it has a small white, comma shaped mark on the underside of it's wings. Julia Gunn reared this butterfly in 2025 and she stayed up all night to film it emerging. It finally emerged at 7-15 in the morning of the 27th of August. The butterfly was released in her garden at Yr Efail, Ceinws, Esgairgeiliog, Powys, Wales at 25min past 2 in the afternoon.
