1877 Funeral card for John Sinnett killed in a mining accident (fall of stone) in the "Edwards Pit" Nantymoel.
"Edwards Pit" was named after the eldest son of David Davies (Llandinam) (who celebrated his 21st birthday in 1873) and was sunk in Nantymoel, Ogmore valley in 1872. It was later called the Blaenogwr Colliery then the Ocean Western Colliery until 1965 when it was merged with the Wyndham Colliery and both were known as the Wyndham/Western.
John Sinnett was buried in Glynogwr (Llandyfodwg) Cemetery as there was no cemetery in Blaenogwr until 1888.
