In this second audio recording of an interview with World War Two Veteran Bruce McCay, the interviewer hears Bruce talking about an incident that occurred on the eastern side of the River Aller (Alder) in Germany during April 1945. Bruce encountered a German Hauptman, Richard Lange, and the two survivors exchanged letters some 54 years later. A written account of this incident can be read on line at Appendix A in the narrative that accompanies Bruce's story in the Bruce McCay collection at the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples Collection Wales website.
