This painting by retired RAMC Warrant Officer, Mike Harries, captures two Westland Wessex helicopters flying low over a lake during their decommissioning.

Originally from Loughor, Mike served in the Royal Army Medical Corps for over 20 years, completing two tours in Northern Ireland.

He now lives in France, where he spends his time either painting or writing short stories and poetry.
