This is a photograph of motorcyclists belonging to former RAF Airman David "Dai" and it was taken in Cyprus when Dai was serving on the island with 34 squadron RAF Regiment in the mid to late 1950s. Dai rode service motorcycles whilst on duty and decided to purchase his own and enjoy exploring the island himself, during his off duty periods. His friends had motorcycles too. Dai's memoirs of Cyprus and his time in the RAF can be viewed online in the David Griffiths RAF collection on the West Wales Veterans Archive at the Peoples Collection Wales website.
