This is a photograph of a RAF Holdall / Carry sack dating back to the 1950s. Mr David "Dai" Griffith used this Holdall when returning to the UK from Cyprus, where he served with 34 squadron RAF Regiment. Amazingly Dai kept some uniform and personal issue items stored away and they are a remarkable reminder of his RAF service. Dai's memoirs of Cyprus and his time in the RAF can be viewed online in the David Griffiths RAF collection on the West Wales Veterans Archive at the Peoples Collection Wales website.
