This is a photograph of a pair of RAF gloves dating back to the 1950s. Mr David "Dai" Griffith wore these gloves when serving in Germany with the RAF Regiment. Amazingly Dai kept some uniform stored away and they are a remarkable reminder of his RAF service. These particular gloves issued to him, were valuable protection against the cold weather. Dai used them riding his service motorcycle, when undertaking despatch rider duty. Dai's memoirs of his time in the RAF can be viewed online in the David Griffiths RAF collection on the West Wales Veterans Archive at the Peoples Collection Wales website.
