For many years a respected member of the community of Buckley, North Wales and a Flintshire County Councillor, Neville Phillips and all he represented was grounded in the values and social traditions of his town and it's principal citizens. Here Neville chats to local community observer and media-archivist, John Butler about recollections from his formative years'. Neville tells of a time when the annual "pantomime" -a lavish production staged by local culture champion, Dennis Griffiths was one of the highlights of the town's festive calender. And when everyday conversations in school, chapel and workplace were commonly conducted in Buckley's robust and unique dialect.
