This photograph shows soldiers from the Royal Warwickshire regiment climbing the notorious Dhala pass in the Yemen (Aden) in 1959. The images are published with kind permission of Derrick Clarke, who used them to illustrate the description of the pass he gives in his 2020 book "Into the eye of the Yemen - The lost soldier". The images are reproduced from his book and used to accompany a filmed interview with Derrick that can be seen online in the Derrick Clarke collection at the People's Collection Wales, in the West Wales Veterans Archive.
