Artist Jenny has dissected a photographic image of Heinz Koppel's 'Merthyr Blues' 1954. She is preparing to interpret the many various sections of the artwork. Heinz Koppel taught in Dowlais during this time and became a renowned Internatinal artist during his lifetime. This artwork was chosen for interpretation by the Dowlais Visual Art Group, not only because of the obvious connection, but also because there was very little information available to Amgueddfa Cymru who are the keepers of the artwork in their collection.
