The Wheelcar is peculiar to Radnorshire and parts of Shropshire. In use the front section is in constant contact with the ground. When loaded for steep descents the Wheels can be locked by chains to turn the vehicle into a large Sled. Model scale 1" to 1 Ft. Measured from the original at St Fagans. Original built by Aaron Lewis, Wheelwright, Gravel, Llanbister Road, Radnorshire in 1928. He is shown in census returns 1871 - 1911 as a Wheelwright at Llanbister Road.
