Personal account by Royal Navy veteran of WW2 Tony Bird, based on his interview with the West Wales Veterans' Archive undertaken in February 2021. Evacuated during the early part of the War to Lampeter, Tony joined the Royal Navy, serving on a Corvette on D-Day and finished the war in the Far East. Tony lives in Freshwater East, Pembroke.
