The Glamorganshire Canal
Disgrifiadau
The Glamorganshire Canal was built to carry Iron initially and then Coal to the Docks in Cardiff. Travelling from Merthyr, the largest Village in Wales at the time, bigger than Cardiff and Swansea combined, to the Cardiff estuary. The Canal was closed in the 1950s when it had been replaced by trains from the coal mining valleys.
