Sefydlwyd WCIA, Canolfan Materion Rhyngwladol Cymru, ym 1973 i fod yn 'llais Cymru yn y byd' - gan hyrwyddo achos Rhyngwladoldeb a ddechreuwyd gan sylfaenwyr Teml Heddwch Cymru o 1938. Mae Canolfan Materion Rhyngwladol Cymru yn parhau â'r gwaith hwn heddiw - gan agosáu at ei *50fed Pen-blwydd* yn 2023 -  ac yn arwain prosiectau blaenllaw yng Nghymru ar Ddysgu Byd-eang, Gweithredu Byd-eang, Partneriaethau Byd-eang a Threftadaeth Heddwch, yn ogystal â gweithredu fel gwarcheidwaid a rheolwyr llogi/lleoliad ar gyfer Teml Heddwch ac Iechyd eiconig Cymru.

CRYNODEB:Mae'r rhifyn hwn yn ymdrin â'r materion economaidd a datblygu sy'n effeithio ar Gymru a'r "Trydydd Byd" fel y nodir yn agendâu ac amcanion y Cenhedloedd Unedig a bennwyd gan Canolfan Materion Rhyngwladol Cymru. Mae hyn yn cynnwys dwy ran o dair o boblogaeth y byd sy'n byw gyda diffyg bwyd, tlodi a chlefyd tra bod y llu o arfogaeth arfau niwclear yn parhau i fygwth sefydlogrwydd y system ryngwladol. Mae cynnwys a myfyrdodau ar Flwyddyn Ryngwladol y Plentyn y flwyddyn flaenorol yn amlwg er mwyn parhau i godi ymwybyddiaeth a chodi arian tuag at datrys problemau mae plant ym mhobman yn eu hwynebu. The emphasis of the Brandt report will broaden discussions of these issues in Wales with the convening of two national conferences in 1981 and 1982 to ascertain the progress made since 1978.
