There are many interesting streets and buildings in this old town which dates back to pre-Roman times.

Old Market Street.

The archway over the entrance to Neath's Indoor Market, indicating it was built in 1837.

The junction of Wind Street (ahead) and New Street (left). The centre of this friendly town has recently been pedestrianised.

The Neath Constitutional Club in Orchard Street. This attractive Victorian Gothic edifice was erected in 1880. Note the oriel window projecting from the right-hand corner of the building, mirroring the tower of St. David's Church beyond.

Neath Castle from which Neath gets its Welsh name Castell Nedd. There has been a castle on this site since the 12th century AD.
