The crew of Camroux III

Disgrifiadau

The small coaster, CAMROUX III, was requisitioned during World War II and used for a variety of barrage balloon and range support tasks. In May 1940, the crew brought the CAMROUX from Grimsby around to Fishguard. Len Dennett (back row, fourth from left) joined the ship as its cook at Grimsby. From 1941 onwards the second Engineer on board was William Howell Selby Davies (pictured third on the left, back row)
Under the command of Captain G H Barnes (far right), the CAMROUX provided a billet for the army officers setting up the Ynyslas range and took part in many of the secret rocket experiments.

Hello Phillip Jenkins,

Thank you for all your information. It's great to be able to put names to faces and find out more about the people who served on this ship.
What was your fathers role on the HMS Camroux? Would you be willing to show us his log book to help us improve our records?

Many thanks,
